Andrew Eaves is a Start Strong Wichita youth leader and is determined to change the way that teens date. Andrew wants teens to know that violence in relationships is never acceptable.  Andrew knows that education is important in changing youth attitudes. He tries to think of creative ways to teach teens about dating violence. He looks forward to being a part of Start Strong Wichita because he knows dating violence is an issue that has the potential to affect all teens including him.

One way Andrew has shown his leadership skills and determination is by participating in a program called A.V.I.D (Advance Via Individual Determination) at his middle school. The program is aimed at helping students advance in life and academic skills.

Andrew will be attending Northwest High School in the fall. He plans on continuing his involvement with A.V.I.D. while working with Start Strong and pursuing other goals– including some in baseball and other sports. Andrew plans to attend Wichita State University where he will enroll in their aviation program.
