Start Strong Oakland collaborated with the Oakland City Council, the Alameda County Board of Supervisors and the Berkeley City Council to proclaim February as Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention month!  This is the first citywide proclamation acknowledging teen dating violence prevention in Oakland. This momentous accomplishment was made possible through the efforts of Start Strong Oakland, local domestic violence organizations and public officials working together. Oakland is bringing teen dating violence awareness and prevention to the forefront in their community and beyond.
