START STRONG BOSTON LAUNCHES SOUND RELATIONSHIP NUTRITIONAL LABEL

Start Strong Boston launched a new campaign to point out how pervasive examples of unhealthy relationships are in popular music.  Just as a nutritional label allows one to count the calories in a fast food hamburger, the Sound Relationships Nutritional Label, provides a new tool to help music listeners evaluate how healthy – or unhealthy – songs are.   The tool, patterned after common food nutritional labels, invites consumers to become song lyric nutritionists by helping them identify relationship ingredients that make up a song and includes a lesson plans that teens, adults and educators can use to become more informed about their “media diet” - particularly around how relationships are portrayed.

This creative campaign was featured in a range of media outlets including MSNBC and the Fox News Network. To view Fox coverage click here.
