TEENS GATHERED IN BOSTON FOR “BREAK-UP SUMMIT 3.0”: A ONE-DAY CONFERENCE ON HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS
On July 26th, Start Strong Boston hosted “Break-Up Summit 3.0,” a conference that brought together teens and adults to tackle teen dating abuse and explore healthy relationships including how to break up in a healthy way.
The summit looked at steps teens can take to increase the likelihood of having a respectful split, such as talking face-to-face, sharing positives about the person, discussing the reasons for ending the relationship and setting healthy boundaries.
Workshops included “Breaking-Up In The Internet Age,” “The ‘What Are We?’ Conversation,” “It’s Complicated,” and “Represent Yourself,” all of which were designed to help teens engage in respectful break-ups and promote healthy relationships
The event was organized by Start Strong Boston and the Boston Public Health Commission.
